{"id":16265,"date":"2020-06-03T10:03:10","date_gmt":"2020-06-03T16:03:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/news.barrett.net\/?p=16265"},"modified":"2020-08-19T14:11:00","modified_gmt":"2020-08-19T19:11:00","slug":"barrett-announces-shipment-of-6mm-arc-rifles-to-us-dod","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/barrett.net\/2020\/06\/03\/barrett-announces-shipment-of-6mm-arc-rifles-to-us-dod\/","title":{"rendered":"Barrett\u00ae Announces shipment of 6mm ARC rifles to U.S. DOD"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Barrett Firearms Manufacturing, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Hornady Manufacturing to chamber the REC7 rifle series in the new 6mm ARC offering.\u00a0 The first production run of these rifles has already been delivered on time to the United States Department of Defense, fulfilling a contract that was awarded to Barrett late last year.<\/p>\n<p>The combination of the proven REC7 DI gas system and the potent 6mm ARC cartridge creates a product that is consistently accurate and easy to shoot.\u00a0 Carrying 24 rounds in the magazine, the 108 gr. ELD Match bullets leave the 18\u201d Proof Research match grade stainless steel or carbon fiber barrel at over 2630 fps.\u00a0 This easily gives the rifle supersonic capabilities past 1000 yards.<\/p>\n<p>Barrett anticipates these rifles will be available to the US commercial market after all US Military deliveries have been completed.<\/p>\n<p>Barrett is a family-owned and operated company and the world leader in large-caliber, long-distance, precision rifle design and manufacturing.
